Channel for the transport of the shot put balls from the throwing sector to the circle from which the athletes throw.
It is made up of an initial section of inclined rail, four sections of straight rails and a stop section. Each running rail is made up of two parallel round tubes connected by plates, and at their ends they have two tubes of smaller diameter to join the next section. In this way, different number of sections can be assembled and different overall lengths attained, as required (each straight section has a length of 2.88 m).
The inclined return channel is mounted on a telescopic foot with a sheet metal base. For its part, the section of channel that acts as the final stop has a brake that reduces the speed of the weight as it passes through it, as well as a plate at the end with an elastic stop that cushions the final impact against the structure.
The entire running rail is made of steel and is supplied painted, while the hardware used is zinc-plated.
