Mondo Group is continuing with its corporate commitment to the fight against climate change and its environmental protection strategy by producing sustainable sports floorings. Proof of this lies in the partnership with TUV AUSTRIA ITALIA S.p.A., an independent third-party organization responsible for environmental product certification, for whom a focus on the environment is one of its core missions.
Mondo S.p.A. put its trust in TUV AUSTRIA ITALIA S.p.A. to certify the environmental performance of its product with environmental conformity certification of the SPORTFLEX SUPER X 720 athletics track
Sportflex Super X 720 is the surface for competition and training facilities which is OK recycled certified by TUV AUSTRIA, with 41% recycled content.
This certification clearly, transparently and reliably communicates the environmental performance of Mondo's production chain, as it is validated by the independent third-party certification body TUV AUSTRIA ITALIA S.p.A..
OK recycled scheme certifies the recycled material content in a product on the basis of a traceability system.
It is applicable, without minimum content requirements, to any type of material (such as plastic, aluminum, fabrics, paper and leather), and to any product which uses recycled material during the production process.
The structure of the certification scheme is established by ISO 14021, the international standard which specifies the requirements for self-declared environmental claims made by companies for their products, describes a general assessment methodology, and lays out rules for correct communication.
The certification process consists of two phases:
The goal of the scheme is to encourage ecological use of materials and provide credibility to environmental claims.
The OK recycled certification awarded to Mondo by TUV AUSTRIA represents a key piece of the puzzle for all companies which have adopted a sustainable production process and undertake not only a virtuous process of change, but above all concrete and informed actions in favor of environmental protection.
