XXX UNIVERSIADE

Mondo just started the installation of its flagship synthetic track surface, Mondotrack WS, in the Stadio San Paolo in Naples, Italy.
The San Paolo stadium will host the 2019 Summer Universiade from 3 to 14 July (the athletics matches will be staged in the Stadium starting for the 8th of July).
For his edition of the University Games are expected more than 10 thousand participants among athletes and trainers.
This is the 8th consecutive edition of the University Games to be hosted on a Mondo track (from Bucarest 1981 to Taiwan 2017).
Mondo was once again preferred over its many competitors not only thanks to the unparalleled athletic performance (over 70% of all WR presently ratified by the IAAF were set on a Mondo track) but also because Mondo guarantees the higher standards of environmental sustainability, including the lowest levels of VOC emission in the industry.
The track at the San Paolo stadium is approximately 10.000 sqm in size.
The synthetic surface will be installed in two distinct phases over a month to accommodate the match schedule of Napoli Calcio, but there is nothing to worry about regarding the uniformity of the performances on the surface: Mondo’s track surfaces are totally prefabricated in a controlled factory environment, unaffected by temperature and climatic conditions. Thanks to this feature, Mondo can guarantee perfect consistency of athletic performance over the whole surface of the track, even if material were installed at different times and in substantially different climatic conditions.
