From 11-21 August 2022, the European Championships will be held in Munich. Exactly 50 years after the 1972 Olympic Games, the European Championships in 9 different Olympic and two Paralympic sports are being held at the same iconic venue that for this celebration is ready to host 4.700 athletes competing in 177 medal events.
For this occasion, MONDO has been chosen as the Official Athletics Equipment Supplier.
For the European Championships Munich 2022 organized by European Athletics and the Local Organising Committee in Munich MONDO is ready to supply more than 125 high-competition athletics equipment items characterized by company's most cutting-edge and innovative technology, which incorporates important innovations such as the use of LED technology. For this occurrence MONDO has customized the material with the 'look of the game' and will provide technical assistance throughout the competition.
The athletics equipment line will comprise hurdles, high jump and pole vault landing areas and uprights, the throwing cage, lane markers, carts, relays batons, podiums benches and many other items.
Featuring a modern and dynamic design, the line of athletics equipment that will be supplied for Munich 2022 was designed by MONDO with the support of the Munich 2022 creative team led by Creative Director Florian Weber and originally designed in collaboration with World Athletics.
The range made its debut during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and was again used in March 2022 for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Belgrade 2022, where Mondo also served as Official Supplier of the event.
Innovation in materials, versatility and the use of the most cutting-edge technology were chosen for the new range, all without sacrificing maximum reliability, comfort and safety for athletes and judges.
New production techniques have also been used in its manufacture, such as rotational molding.
