ATHLETICS: IAAF WORLD RELAYS WILL TAKE PLACE IN POLAND

The competition will take place on May 1-2, 2021. It will be the first time this event will be organised in Europe. The first three editions were hosted by Nassau (on MONDO), the capital of Bahamas, while the most recent one was held in Yokohama, Japan. Also in 2021 athletes will stage their performances on MONDO: the new Sportflex Super x 720 has been installed in the renewed stadium in 2017. Click here to watch the image gallery!
The Silesian Stadium in Chorzów was officially opened in 1956. Between 2009 and 2017 it underwent a major renovation. Currently, this is the second-largest arena in Poland with around 55,000 seats and the largest stadium capable of hosting major athletics events.
In few weeks time the stadium will host the 65^th edition of the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial Meeting, one of the oldest one day meetings in Europe.
