INGEBRIGTSEN BREAKS WORLD INDOOR 1500M RECORD
The Norwegian middle-distance runner, opening his 2022 season at the
Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais, took almost half a second off the world indoor 1500m record (still subject to the usual ratification procedure), winning at the
World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Lievin in 3:30.60 on the
variable hydraulic banking track supplied by MONDO.
In addition to Ingebrigtsen’s world indoor record, 2 other world-leading marks were set on an outstanding night for athletics: one for Seyaum in the 3000m and one for Holloway in the 60m hurdles.
