The Miami Beach Convention Center is now home to the Motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1. The facility features a central padel court and four "elite courts", all equipped with Premier Supercourt X3, the synthetic turf for padel courts designed by Mondo specifically for this sport. Fernando Belasteguín, padel legend, is the tournament director.
This is a historic day for padel: the United States is hosting a stage of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour for the first time, the most important international professional competition in this sport. The motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1 tournament will take place from March 18 to 23 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, a top-level location, in line with the importance of the event. All the courts are equipped with the official Premier Padel turf, Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf for padel. To complete the prestige of this historic event, the tournament director is Fernando Belasteguín, an absolute padel legend who was number one in the world for 16 years.
Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf for padel courts, chosen for the Miami Beach Convention Center courts, offers excellent technical and sporting performance. This synthetic turf for padel courts is the first on the market to combine three different textured monofilaments (XNOVA, XOMEGA and XDELTA, each with a specific morphology), thus ensuring greater friction control, uniform rebound across the entire surface and an extraordinary aesthetic appearance.
All the filaments of the Premier Supercourt X3 are textured, which allows them to "retain" the sand on the court, thus avoiding irregular distributions or accumulations. These properties are combined with maximum comfort, high safety and a remarkable aesthetic impact. Thanks to Premier Supercourt X3, players feel a sensation of total safety and confidence in their movements, thus reducing the risk of injury. The level of grip significantly improves impact absorption, stability, traction and balance during play.
The speed of play is certified by the classification in the ITF 5 category, the highest, which confirms its characteristics as a fast court.
The motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1 tournament features 40 male and 28 female pairs in the main draw. The event held in Miami is a P1, the highest tournament category of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour circuit, surpassed only by the four Majors - which will be held in Doha, Paris, Rome and Acapulco - and the Premier Padel Finals in Barcelona, all of which have chosen a Mondo synthetic turf court to host the athletes.
The event in the USA is the second P1 category tournament of the 2025 season, after the Riyadh P1 stage played in February, also on the Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf padel surface.
This year, a total of 24 Premier Padel tournaments will be held in 16 countries, and the first event of the calendar played in Spain was the Gijón P2 stage, also played on the Premier Supercourt X3.
Padel continues to expand unstoppably throughout the world – as revealed by data from the World Padel Report 2024 of the International Padel Federation (FIP) – and the United States is no exception. In the last two years alone, the number of padel courts in the USA has grown by 186%. According to a study by the FIP’s Department of Research and Data Analysis, by the beginning of 2025 there will be more than 650 courts in 31 states, more than 100,000 players and almost 2,000 professional license holders. The state with the strongest growth is Florida, which already has more than 250 courts, 41% of all those in the country. The number of official national competitions organized by the United States Padel Association (USPA) also continues to grow: 48 events are scheduled for 2024.
