The third round of this international circuit takes place at the Madrid Arena between July 17th and 23rd. The competition will be played entirely on artificial turf specifically designed by Mondo for this sport.
The capital of Spain is hosting the Madrid Premier Padel P1, which will be played at the Madrid Arena until Sunday July 23. The competition, organized by Octagon, is being played on three MejorSet padel courts equipped with Mondo's Supercourt XN artificial turf system.
"The work and quality of Mondo Ibérica are of unquestionable performance and tested in multiple elite scenarios. To offer the best show is to give the best experience to the player and Mondo Ibérica is safety and reliability in that aspect" says Joan Cuscó, president of Premier Padel Spain.
Designed by Mondo's R&D laboratories, the Supercourt XN turf on which the Madrid Premier Padel P1 is being played is certified according to the UNE 147301:2018 standard for artificial turf for padel courts.
"Supercourt XN artificial turf is specifically designed by Mondo for the practice of padel and its excellent technical performance is backed by the best professionals in this sport," highlights Pilar Moreo, Mondo's padel product manager. "The combination of its two types of texturized monofilaments offers a perfect balance between grip and sliding when moving, a faster play, greater ball speed and uniformity of the bounce at all points of the court," adds Moreo. In addition to these properties, it offers maximum comfort and safety for players and a spectacular aesthetic appearance.
Supercourt XN is also Greenguard Gold certified (does not emit volatile organic compounds) and certified by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) as including fully recoverable ballast components.
The men's draw at the Madrid Premier Padel P1 will include pairs such as Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón; Franco Stupaczuk and Martín Di Nenno; Fede Chingotto and 'Paquito' Navarro; Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello; Álex Ruiz and Juan Tello; Fernando Belasteguín and Miguel Yanguas; or 'Momo' González and 'Sanyo' Gutiérrez. The women's title will be disputed by pairs such as Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría; Bea González and Delfi Brea; Gemma Triay and Marta Ortega, Tamara Icardo and Virginia Riera; the twins Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto; or Aranza Osoro and Lucía Sainz, among others.
The matches and all the games can be followed through Premier Padel's official Youtube channel.
Madrid is the third destination of the Premier Padel competition this year. The circuit began in February in Qatar with a Major tournament and resumed this same month of July with another Major, played in Rome between the 8th and 16th. In the Italian tournament -as in the one being played in Madrid-, the padel courts installed in the Foro Italico were equipped with the Mondo Supercourt XN system.
