Basketball baskets, designed, made and certificates in accordance with UNE-EN-1270 by the I B V (Biomechanics Institute of Valencia). It is especially suitable for 3x3 competitions organized according to FIBA regulations.
The basket is of the transportable type, with manual lifting and folding. Its special design allows two different configurations: game position for playing basketball and folded position for transport and storage if it is not in use.
Designed to absorb the impacts and vibrations produced by the practice of basketball, it is made of cold-formed steel structural profiles. It basically consists of: an upper arm, two vertical posts and a base.
The upper arm is made of a square profile stiffened by a lattice. The basket arm projection is 1.65 meters.
The vertical Posts, reinforced by two lateral diagonals, provide the necessary rigidity and stability to the whole. Manually acting on the rear Post, the folding or unfolding movement of the basket is produced.
The base is equipped with a translation system by means of wheels and has the necessary counterweights to guarantee the stability of the basket at all times during the folding and unfolding operations in its position of use. It also incorporates an automatic fixing feet system, which only comes into contact with the ground when it is unfolded for use.
The basket also has a tilting rim, a metal frame with a backboard measuring 1.05 x 1.8 m, made of 14 mm tempered glass, and injected polyurethane protections.
This product can be used indoors and outdoors, thanks to its transportable nature, although MONDO recommends storing indoors in humidity conditions, less than 70%.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before it is used, the baskets must be perfectly secured to the ground using the appropriate anchors (PK160 and PK161). The PK161 ground fixing shoes are supplied by MONDO with this basket.
Additional counterweights can be placed on the base to ensure maximum stability of the basket. These counterweights can be removed to make the basket easier to move when not in play. However, the placement of these counterweights DOES NOT RELEASE the need to place the ground anchors when the basket is positioned for play, since this is the only way to fully ensure protection against tipping over.
