Designed, manufactured and approved in accordance with the Regulations of the International Association of Athletics Federations (WA Certificate: E-99-0122).
The base is made of extruded aluminium profiles designed in-house, which allows for a simple manual movement of the counterweights. The counterweights are locked by spring-loaded handles, allowing them to be positioned for the different regulatory heights (1.067 m, 0.991 m, 0.914 m, 0.838 m, 0.762 m), as well as an additional height of 0.686 m. The profile, which has an indicator scale, is closed by means of injected plastic covers.
Two circular section aluminium tubes are inserted perpendicularly into the two front corners of the base. At the upper end of these tubes, there is an anti-blocking system of our own design, which keeps the crossbar at the different heights via a spring and a bolt, both made of stainless steel, set in an injected nylon casing.
The wooden crossbar, painted according to regulations, is held place by two wedge-shaped pieces of injected plastic in order to avoid physical damage to the athletes. The plastic pieces are located in the upper part of a circular section aluminium profile which moves vertically and is fixed in place by bolts in drill holes. It has a measuring scale to set the different established heights.
The base is prepared to facilitate stacking thanks to the design of the aluminium profile.
The structure is painted with polyester powder paint, which is applied after degreasing treatment, which takes place in pressurised phosphatising bath, and polymerised in an oven at 200 ºC
