Set of two baskets, designed, made and certificates in accordance with UNE - EN-1270 by the I B V (Biomechanics Institute of Valencia). They are equally approved for Level 1 (PK243) and Level 2 of FIBA (International Basketball Federation) competitions.
The MONDOCUP baskets are of the transportable type, with manual lifting and folding. Its special design allows two different configurations: game position for playing basketball and folded position for transport and storage if it is not in use.
Designed to absorb the impacts and vibrations produced by the practice of basketball, it is made of cold-formed steel structural profiles. It basically consists of: an upper arm, two vertical posts and a base.
The upper arm is made of a square profile stiffened by a lattice. There are several different references depending on the projection of the basket arm, depending on the level of competition required: 2.25 - 2.52 - 3.25 m.
The vertical posts, reinforced by two lateral diagonals, provide the necessary rigidity and stability to the whole. Manually acting on the rear Post, the folding or unfolding movement of the basket is produced.
The base is equipped with a translation system by means of wheels and has the necessary counterweights to guarantee the stability of the basket at all times during the folding and unfolding operations in its position of use. It also incorporates an automatic fixing feet system, which only comes into contact with the ground when it is unfolded for use.
The basket also includes a tilting-type Rim (PK913) and can be adapted to any type of Backboard from the MONDO range, either glass or methacrylate (see variants table). It also incorporates a set of padded protections for the upper arm, the front post and the base.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before it is used, the baskets must be perfectly secured to the ground using the appropriate anchors (PK160 and PK161). MONDO supplies these anchors separately.
When choosing the type of anchoring system, it is important to consider the characteristics of the flooring, the structural slab, and other factors that may be relevant. As a guideline, the ball joint anchoring system (PK160) can be used interchangeably on raised or non-raised floors. The expansion anchor (PK161) is typically used on non-raised floors or in cases where the characteristics of the slab do not allow for the use of a ball joint anchor.
