International elite athletes and promising young talents in the javelin throw are expected in Jena at the Jenaer Oberaue, the place where javelins fly. This is an international event where you can experience enthusiasm for javelin throwing up close, with Olympic Champion Thomas Röhler
The construction of two javelin runways at the JenJavelin Team Jena in Germany is now complete! See some images of the new runways here.
Since Team JenJavelin of LC Jena was established by Olympic gold coach Harro Schwuchow and Olympic champions Petra Felke and Thomas Röhler in 2015, the Jena throw center has become a popular place to exchange ideas and advance the education of javelin coaching and throwing.
Thomas Röhler, 2016 Olympic Champion (his personal best of 93.90 m set in Doha ranks him second overall) expressly wanted MONDOTRACK WS for this project.
The athletic performances and the durability of our product he experienced in Rio 2016 and London 2017, and his desire to train on the same surface on which he will compete during the World Championships in 2019 (in Doha, always on a MONDO track!) convinced him to choose MONDO as a partner for his training center.
The MONDOTRACK WS also will serve as a center stage for an international training camp that will run June 25–July 1, and for the Jena Javelin Festival June 30th.
MONDO strongly believes in this important partnership with Thomas Röhler and the Jena Training Center, and in working with them to develop technology to help advance javelin throwing globally.
MONDO has always engineered and produced specialized high-performance solutions for athletes worldwide. Thanks to athletes' constant feedback, we have redefined the standards of sports flooring, setting the benchmark for new achievements.
MONDO. WE LISTEN. WE INNOVATE. YOU WIN
